It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thomas Evans of Carlyle, Illinois, who passed away on August 23, 2025, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his mother Jeannette Catherine Evans; his wife Linda Mae Evans; his children, Robert J. Evans (Laura) of Centralia, A. "Lee" Evans of Centralia, Christopher S. Evans (Amy) of Manitou Springs, CO, James E. Mendoza (Salvador) of Chicago, Mellisa R. Karasev (Leonid) of Vancouver, WA, Tommy M. Hagen (Allen) of Breese, Jody Smith (Robbie) of Hoyleton, Jessica V. Davis (Anthony) of Salem, Gregory J. Evans (Alyson) of Breese, Riki D. Evans (Bobby Endicott) of Carlyle and Jeanette "Katie" Evans (Robbie Hunt) of Beckemeyer; his grandchildren, Ashley Evans (Jake Henry), Justin Evans (Arylynn), Izabel Evans, Christian Evans-Walker, Presley Evans, Adessa Karasev, Aidan Karasev, Austin Hagen, Camryn Hagen, Lexi Smith (Joseph O'Bear), Angela Smith, Michael Davis, Anabelle Evans, Eleanor Evans, William Evans and Benjamin Evans; his great grandchildren, Brennan Howerton, Farrah Howerton, Easton Henry, Beckett Henry, Briar Henry, Madilyn Hocking, Olyver Evans and Malenia O'Bear; his siblings, Richard Evans, Daniel Evans, Gregory Evans and Roberta Evans; his father Robert Evans; his brother James "Jim" Evans; his daughter Gyndi Evans; his grandson Wyatt Jameson Evans; and his great grandchildren, Connor Henry and Harlow Henry. He was also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers or gifts, those who wish may contribute to a Memorial Tree to be planted at the Carlyle Fish Hatchery through the City of Carlyle Parks Department—a lasting tribute that will grow in Tom's memory and carry his legacy forward for generations.
