He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Hale and Otie Hale (Hopper); his daughter Lori Hale Doss; and his sister Pansy Williams. He is survived by: his wife Cathy Eaglin; his daughter Gina Hale Johnson (Eric) of Hendersonville, TN; his grandchildren, Charli Jo Doss, Teri Elizabeth LaBella, Sydney Johnson, Briley Johnson and Reagan Johnson; his sister Rebecca Williams of London, KY; his son-in-law Greg Doss of Paducah, KY; and his pet Maggie.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Campbell Funeral Home (609 W Main St, Carmi, IL 62821). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. The military honors was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Charles's memory to CWCHS Golf Team or St. Jude and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi or by mail to 609 W. Main St., Carmi, IL 62821.
