She was predeceased by: her parents, Wayne York and Bessie York (Savage); her spouse Glenard Smith; and her siblings, Dorys Saunders (Arthur), Ruth Weiss (James), Maxine Norris (Harry), Lecil and Darrell York.
She is survived by: her children, Larry O'Neal (Sandy) of Valley View, TX, Sherri Gambrel (David) of Mt. Vernon, IN and Terri Meredith (Bret) of Carmi, IL; her grandchildren, Heather Howard (Ty), Shannon Black (Adam), Morgan Buelna, Anne Buchanan (Justin), Kimberly Herrell (Brian), Donnie Vines, Jr. (Kayla), Tara Morse and Ethan Veatch (Kelsey); her great grandchildren, Kaden, Brinley Howard, Breelyn, Colbie, Liberty, Mariyah, Derrick, Demetrius, Daylin Buchanan, Annalise, Ellen Vines, Charlotte, Corbin Herrell, Alycia Weiss, Allana Osborne, Alliya Harris, Parker and Paxton Veatch; her great great grandchildren, Aurora Grobb and Axton Strumpher; and her sisters, Helen Endicott of Clewiston, FL and Betty Dozier of Fairfield, IL. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Campbell Funeral Home (609 W Main St, Carmi, IL 62821). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
