He was predeceased by : his parents, William "Bill" Odom and Estel Odom (Goldman); his son Shawn Odom; and his siblings, William "Billy" Odom, Ronald Odom, Donald Odom and Myrtle Rose Odom.

He is survived by : his wife Laura Heilmann; his stepson James Heilmann; his daughter Tammy Dixon; his grandson Salem Mullins; and his brother David Odom (Margaret). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
