With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Francis Phillip Speller of Carmi, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 25, 2025 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Albert and Edith Speller (Smith); and his brothers, David Speller and George Speller. He is survived by: his wife Maureen Speller (Allen) of Carmi; his children, Karen Shorb (Alan) of Carmi, Mark Venner, Melissa Brand-Welch (Mike James) and Paul Speller (Sarah); his grandchildren, Isobella, Morgan James, McKenzie Taylor, Annaleise Shorb and Cal Bingman; his great grandchildren, Jenna James, Jacob James, Oaklyn Taylor, Asher Bingman and Hendrix Bingman; his sister-in-law Kathy Speller (Pontca Lake Family); and his close friends, Mark Knight (Barb) and Matt Powell (Teresa). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
