He is survived by : his wife Paula Schlesinger of Carmi, IL; his children, Dacyal Johnson (Vance) of Fort Worth, TX, Joshua Schlesinger (Heather) of Evansville, IN, Rachel Schlesinger and Scott Tedford (Shea) of Chesapeake; his grandchildren, Robert, Kloe, Chrissandra, Alissa, Gabriel, Orion, Catalina, Danica, Allison, Kinslee, Landon and Avery; and his brothers, Steve Schlesinger and Barry Schlesinger.
