With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James O. Pretzsch of Carmi, Illinois, who passed away on July 2, 2023 at the age of 74. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of James O. Pretzsch to pay them a last tribute.

He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Robert Orval Wesley and Lillie Elizabeth Pretzsch (Cartmill); his wife Patty; his daughter Carrie Gates (Brad) of Carmi; his grandchildren, Joseph and Alexus Gates; his siblings, Robert Pretzsch (Barbara) of Gulf Port, MS and Linda Lounsbery (Ron) of Hillman, MI; his mother-in-law Betty DeLong; his brother-in-law Gary DeLong (Norma); his aunts, Jessie Cartmill and Anna Jones; and his uncle Charles Cartmill. He was also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Jim's memory to the Carmi White County High School FFA or Maunie Methodist Church and will accepted at Stendeback Funeral Home or by mail to 609 W. Main St., Carmi, IL 62821.
