He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilbur D. Scharer and Mary Ann Scharer (Krawczyk); and his siblings, Frank Scharer and Sandra Burch. He is survived by: his siblings, Beverly Ryan (Jake) of Peoria, AZ, Judy McClure (Bill) of Tucson, AZ, Dolores Konn of Berkeley, CA, David Scharer of Berkeley, CA. and Debbie Linzy (Danny) of Carmi, IL; and his siblings' children, Christine Dipalma, William McClure, Jr., Alisha Diplama, Morgan Konn, Rachael Konn, Bonnie Burch, Oliver Scharer, Jessica Linzy, Jamie Hess and Jody Slevin.
