It is with sadness that the passing of Michael L. Knight of Carmi, Illinois is shared. Michael, born on May 24, 1952, passed away on September 15, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William "Bud" Knight and Dorothy Pauline Knight (Evans); his sister Barb Myatt; his brother-in-law Jimmy DeLong; his great-nephew Jonah Goodman; and his great-niece Ansley (Audrey Turner).
He is survived by: his close friend Paula Dozier of Carmi; his children, Mary Knight of Fairfield, Jessica Rone of Fairfield, Trish Hall (Billy) of Harrisburg, James Knight of Port Royal, SC and Angie Wilson (Rick) of Waltonville, IL; his grandchildren, Jared, Ian, Marcus Draper, Taylor, Madison, Katelyn Hall, Aiden and Addison Wilson; his siblings, Bill Knight (Jolene), Greg Knight (Melissa), Rick Knight (Kelly), Steve Knight (Connie), Doug Knight (Tammy), Elaine Endicott (John), Sheryl Blazier (Mike) and Teresa Stocke (Kevin); and his brother-in-law Whit Myatt. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mike's memory to the Mike Knight Memorial Fund which will used to place benches at Lincoln and Jefferson Schools along with other community projects.
