Michael L. Knight Obituary
It is with sadness that the passing of Michael L. Knight of Carmi, Illinois is shared. Michael, born on May 24, 1952, passed away on September 15, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William "Bud" Knight and Dorothy Pauline Knight (Evans); his sister Barb Myatt; his brother-in-law Jimmy DeLong; and his great-nephew Jonah Goodman.
He is survived by: his close friend Paula Dozier of Carmi; his children, Mary Knight of Fairfield, Jessica Rone of Fairfield, Trish Hall (Billy) of Harrisburg, James Knight of Port Royal, SC and Angie Wilson (Rick) of Waltonville, IL; his grandchildren, Jared, Ian, Marcus Draper, Taylor, Madison, Katelyn Hall, Aiden and Addison Wilson; and his siblings, Bill Knight (Jolene), Greg Knight (Melissa), Rick Knight (Kelly), Steve Knight (Connie), Doug Knight (Tammy), Elaine Endicott (John), Sheryl Blazier (Mike) and Teresa Stocke (Kevin). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and at 8:00 PM at the Campbell Funeral Home (609 W Main St, Carmi, IL 62821). A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mike's memory to the Mike Knight Memorial Fund which will used to place benches at Lincoln and Jefferson Schools along with other community projects.
