He was predeceased by: his parents, William Henry Staley and Velma Catherine Pollard; and his siblings, Darrlyn Klomhaus (Kenneth) and Judy Barlow (Donald). He is survived by: his wife Jane Matsel Short; his sons, Michael Todd Staley (Lynnette) of McLeansboro and Timothy Jay Staley (Rosemary) of Nashville, IL; his stepchildren, Pamela Hopkins (Dan) of Eustis, FL and James Heath Short (Danielle) of Carmi, IL; his grandchildren, Amanda Dawn Staley, Timothy Todd Staley (Holly), Alan Michael Staley, Savanna Jaye Snow (Grant), Sarah Kate Staley and Rachael Lynn Staley; his stepgrandchildren, Zach Prather, Matt Prather, Brett Short, Emmi Short and Aydan Allen; and his great grandchildren, Jaxon Prather, Hartley Jane Prather, Nash Thomas Prather and Mason James Prather.
