With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Phyllis D. Mitchell of Carmi, Illinois, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her parents, Woodrow Poole and Wilma Poole (Creek); her husband Sam A. Mitchell; her brother Donald R. Poole; her brother-in-law Lee Austin; her sibling's children, Cindy Stocke, Brittany Austin and Scott Austin; and the father of her child Albert Barbre.
She is survived by: her daughter Kimberly Joy Klein of Pekin, IL.; her granddaughters, Courtney Elizabeth Reubin and Summer Darlene Tharp; her great grandchild Chevy Harmon; her siblings, Ronald Keith Poole (Pat), Sharon Austin and Linda Glascock (Tim); her sister-in-law Sherry Poole; and her close friend Charlie Preston. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi, who is in charge of arrangements.
