We are sad to announce that on April 14, 2024, at the age of 91, Sam Williams of Carmi, Illinois, born in Enfield, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Samuel Latham and Mary Thula Williams (Foley); his wife Joan Weiss; his great grandchild Sawyer Ann Blazier; and his siblings, Robert Doyle Williams and Ruby Helen Cushman.

He is survived by : his children, Eric Williams (Jan) of Argyle, TX, Julie Daniel (Mike) of O'Fallon, IL, Mike Williams (Juli) of Carmi, IL and Tony Williams (Irma) of McLeansboro, IL; his grandchildren, Ryan Williams (Courtney), Worth Williams (Deidra), Jeremy Dozier (Misty), Jayla Boone, Jade Dozier (Leah), Neely Pierce, Keely Brown (Zach), Kinzy Williams, Keiston Williams (Jessica), Kramer Gunter (David), Shawn Williams (Whitney), Shelby Williams (Kelsey) and Shane Williams (Anna); and his close friend Betty Pierson. He is also survived by 26 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Enfield Christian Church (300 N 1st St, Enfield, IL 62835). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Sam's memory to Enfield Christian Church and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi, or mailed to 609 W. Main St. Carmi, IL. 62821.
