It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sharon Gwaltney of Carmi, Illinois, born in Eldorado, Illinois, who passed away on January 5, 2024, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her husband Stephen Gwaltney. She is survived by : her parents, Frieda Roe (Kanady) of Shawneetown and Raymond Stanley of Saluda, VA; her daughter Andrea May (Kenny) of Carmi; her grandchildren, Alex May (Torie), Kelsi May (Pace Young) and Andrew May; her great grandchildren, Maci and Zaileigh May; and her siblings, Carolyn Sanders of Shawneetown, Darrell Ray Stanley of Harrisburg, Everett Roe, Jr. of Shawneetown and Tina Hubbard of Fredonia, KY. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Sharon's memory to The Guardian Center and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home.
