William touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Dallas Mears and Velma Maxine Mears (Wilson); and his brother Tom Mears. He is survived by: his wife Sandy Mears of Carmi; his daughter Kim Coy (Brian) of Evansville, IN; his grandchildren, William Coy (Hannah) and Dale Coy (Addyson); his great grandchildren, Rylan and Hayden Coy; and his nephews, Dr. Jonathan Mears and Dr. David Mears.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Bill's memory to White County Senior Citizens or American Legion Post #224 Baseball and will be accepted at the funeral home or can be mailed to Campbell Funeral Home, 609 W. Main St., Carmi, IL 62821.
