He was predeceased by: his parents, Adeline Clarkson Edwards and DeWitt Sims; and his siblings, Donald Sims, Robert Sims, Denise Edwards, Gerald Edwards, Terry Edwards and Linda Edwards.
He is survived by: his wife Evelyn Joyce Sims; his children, Rhonda J. Sims, Robert D. Sims, Ryan D. Sims, Brown II and Michael Anthony Brown; his great grandchild LeAndre Liam Amstutz; his siblings, Kenneth Edwards, Gloria Massey (Edward Sr.), Timothy Edwards (Rebecca) and Cynthia Edwards; and his cousin Kimberly Ann Ellis. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
