Vern Hultgren Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Vern Hultgren of Carol Stream, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 17, 2025 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Harry Hultgren and Mabel Hultgren; his sister Gloria Smythe (John); and his grandparents, Ernest and Emilia Selander.
He is survived by: his wife Joanne; his children, Tim Hultgren (Susan) of Wheaton, Tami Moore (Chip) of Gages Lake, IL and Randy Hultgren (Christy) of Springfield; his grandchildren, Taryn Fleming (David), Anderson Hultgren (Kyrra), Tre Moore (Meg), Hunter Hultgren, Karsten Hultgren (Mackenzie), Tim Moore (Summer), Allison Hultgren, Tessa Downs (Brandon), Kylie Jones (Christopher), Kaden Hultgren and Kole Hultgren; and his great grandchildren, Henry, William, Tre, Banks, Fern, Ira Vernon, Lincoln, Hans, Ellison, Ellis, Stetson and Josephine.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hultgren Funeral Home (304 N Main St, Wheaton, IL 60187). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 27th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Compass Church – Wheaton Campus (520 E Roosevelt Rd, Wheaton, IL 60187).
