He was predeceased by: his wife Sheila Smith (Gillenwater); his father Ernest Smith; and his sister Sherry Foute. He is survived by: his daughters, Teresa Daugherty (Ralph) and Kristy Beuning (Chris); his granddaughters, Nicole Featherstone and Wynona Featherstone; his great grandchildren, Lilian Duggan, Delilah Peterson and Bruce Featherstone; his mother Winona Smith (Evitts); and his sisters, Linda Brown (late Morris), Kim Wutke (late Eric) and Cindy Victoria (Harold). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and other extended family.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Laird Funeral Home (120 S 3rd St, West Dundee, IL 60118). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
