He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Rexing and JoAnn Rexing (Dietz); his sister Sharon Bonneville; his brother-in-law Bob "BJ" Johnson; and his aunt Polly Tompkins of Equality.

He is survived by: his wife Linda Kennedy; his sons, Brandon Rexing (Sara) of West Frankfort and Kevin Rexing (Whitney) of Harrisburg; his grandchildren, Carleigh Miles of Harrisburg, Jackson Rexing of Harrisburg and Kellan Rexing of West Frankfort; and his siblings, Debbie Prince (Don) of Equality, Wayne Rexing (Joan) of Equality, Larry Rexing (Wanda) of Equality, Joan Johnson of Equality and Teri Casteel (Alvin) of Equality. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to Knights of Columbus and will be received at the funeral home.
