She was predeceased by: her parents, John Sherwood and Pearl Broyles Sherwood; her husband Alfred E. Jones; and her siblings, Helen Ford, Alice Roberts, John Sherwood Jr., Donald Sherwood, Anna Price, Emma Morrow, Tom Sherwood, Vivian Clowers and Orval Sherwood (Red).
She is survived by: her children, Sheila Curtner (Ron) of Carrollton, Allen Jones (Stephanie) of Carrollton and Shawn Jones (Danielle) of Jerseyville; her grandchildren, Ryan Curtner (Whitney Eberhartt), Christeena Curtner (Jeff Aiken), Christian Curtner (Casey), Emma Scheffel (Jonce), Brandon Jones (Becca), Haley Jones, Alex Jones, Abigail Jones, Ashlynn "Bubba" Christian, Ryleigh Jones, Kate Jones, Collin Jones, Travon Herron (Alexis) and Doug Hazelwood; her sister Mary Grizzle of White Hall; her pets, Pumpkin, Kiwi, Oreo and Princess; and her son-in-law Ron. She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, March 6th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Airsman-Hires Funeral Home - Carrollton (108 N 5th St, Carrollton, IL 62016). A funeral service was held on Friday, March 6th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
