She was predeceased by: her parents, Cletus Mueth and Mildred Mueth (Dawson). She is survived by: her husband Donald R. Vaughn of Carterville, IL; her children, Jo Ann Dempsey of Herrin, Jane Ann Tanner of Herrin, Peggy Elders (Dempsey) of Energy and David Vaughn (Shawnna) of Marion, IL; her grandchildren, Troy Ray (Katie), Heather Webb (Stephen), Sami Vega (Justin), Danielle Cox (Matt), Garrett Elders, Jessie Moore (Rich), Brandon Vaughn (Jill), Haley Cure (Reid) and Bridgette Dempsey; and her siblings, Judy (Bill Fix), John Mueth of Marion, Karen (Danny Crain) and Jack Mueth of Carterville. She is also survived by 17 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Meredith-Waddell Funeral Home (2704 S Park Ave, Herrin, IL 62948). A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial donations may be made to the Second Baptist Church, 900 South 11th Street, Herrin, IL 62948; envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
