We bid farewell to Frances Stroud of Carterville, Illinois, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on August 31, 2025 at the age of 90. Frances touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Robert and Geneva Fern Nicholson (Meisenheimer); her husband Edward LeRoy Stroud; her sister Elizabeth Palm; and her children-in-law, Lisa Stroud and Richard Smith.
She is survived by: her children, Karla Smith, Jim Stroud, Ken Stroud (Kelly) and Mike Stroud (Debbie); her grandchildren, Rachel Stroud, Emily Stroud, Georgia Stroud (Evan Smith), Madelynne Stroud, Rebekah Stroud, John Stroud, Julia Stroud, Jamie Cullen (Dan) and Sarah MacDonald (Dan); her great grandchildren, Audrey, Keegan, Delaney and Riley; and her brother-in-law Larry Stroud (Judy). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions can be made to the First Baptist Church Building Fund or to St. Francis Animal Shelter.
