He was predeceased by: his parents, Arlie Efram and Ida Ethel Stout (McBride); his siblings, Billie D., Jerry D., Rae Stout, Peggy Sue Edwards and Shelby Rand; his stepgrandson Eric Hensgen; and his great grandchildren, Henry Cox and Kyler Bayless.
He is survived by: his wife Delores Fern Smith; his children, John B. Stout (Brenda), Arlie Stout, Allean Meachum, Carla Hensgen (Jim) and Carl Stout (Pam); and his sisters, Pat Layne, Fay Wenzel and Mae Cable. He is also survived by twenty grandchildren; forty-five great grandchildren; and eleven great-great grandchildren.
