She was predeceased by: her parents, George Grover and Maude Alice Yates (Buckman); her husband John Gordon Hurwitz; her children, Jack Jr., Jon, Jimmy, Marilyn and Julie; her grandsons, Jack Holt and Tim Holt; her daughter-in-law Madonna Holt; and her siblings, Mary Agnes Yates, Elizabeth Janes, Harry Yates, Lucy Broughton, George Yates, Rita Maher and Frankie Maddox.
She is survived by: her daughters, Beverly Wilson (Jim) of Carthage, IL, Susan Strubinger (Charles) of Foristell, MO and Deborah Wilhite (Curtis) of Carthage; her grandchildren, Dan Holt (Kim), Cassandra Sadilek (Matt), Jamie Stear (Cory), Jennifer Wilson, Kelli Kirchoff (Scott), David Strubinger (Hillary), Curtis Strubinger (Cameron), Travis Wilhite (Suzanne), Kristin Wilhite and Pam Holt; her brother Gregory Yates (Mary) of Lee's Summit, MO; and her sister-in-law Frances Yates of Monroe City, MO. She is also survived by her 25 great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
Memorials may be made out to the Holy Rosary Schools in Monroe City, Saints Peter and Paul School, or the Mental Health Center of Western Illinois.
