She is survived by: her husband Herman Hanks of Carthage; her son Benjamin Boyer (Jennifer) of Burlington; her stepsons, Michael Hanks (Cynthia) of Carthage, Charles Hanks (Kristie) of Cairo and Frank Hanks of Carthage; her grandchildren, Mitchell Hanks (Aleetha), Brandon Hanks, Allison Jacobs (Avery), Benjamin Hanks (Emma), Austin Hanks, Brent Boyer, Avrey Boyer (Griffin Humphreys), Christella Boyer, Maisson Boyer and Aubree Hanks; and her siblings, Eugene Scanlan (Mary Jo) of Burnside and Janice Scanlan of Carthage. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A memorial fund has been established for the Burnside Christian Church.
