With sadness, we share the passing of David Smith of Carthage, Illinois. David, born on March 15, 1933, passed away on July 25, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Family, friends, and acquaintances remember David for his warmth, thoughtfulness, and the moments shared together. While he will be deeply missed, the influence he had on the lives around him remains. Loved ones will reflect on the time spent together. He was predeceased by: his parents, David Galbraith and Alice Smith (Rock); his son Thomas Scott Smith; and his sister Lucia Smart. He is survived by: his sons, David K. Smith (Tara) of Lakewood and Michael Frederick Smith of Boulder, Colorado; and his grandchildren, Jordan Wallace (Tyler) and Logan Smith.
