It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Richard Ketcham of Carthage, Illinois, who passed away at the age of 93, on June 24, 2025. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer Ketcham and Ida Ketcham (Boyd); his wife Marcella Hardy Reed; his son James Ketcham; his grandson Dustin Ketcham; his great grandchild Korbin Rogers; and his siblings, Bonnie Martin, Betty Schiefedeker, Mary Harnetiaux, Robert "Boyd", Eugene, James, Keith and Kenneth Ketcham.
He is survived by: his children, Steve Ketcham of Colchester, Stephanie Doyle (Fred) of Warsaw, Andrea Schelin (Vic) of Riverdale, Janelle Yassan (Mehrdad) of Grand Prairie, Angela Pollock (Mike) of LaHarpe and Robert Ketcham (Heather) of Streator, Illinois; his daughter-in-law Kathy Ketcham of Danville, Iowa; and his stepdaughter Jean Carden (Noel) of Dallas City. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
A rosary will be held on Tuesday, July 1st 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church (125 N Fayette St, Carthage, IL 62321). Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 1st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, July 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established for Hancock County Supportive Living, LaHarpe Carnegie Library, LaHarpe Lions Club or the Knights of Columbus Alleman Council #1852.
