Constance Spenko wrote a sympathy message

“Please extend our sympathies to the entire family. Roger was a good friend going back to Waukegan High School where we played baseball together. We renewed our friendship in 2003 in Lake Zurich where he was teaching. Roger was the prime organizer of our 50th high school class reunion and then smaller reunions of class athletes.. He did a marvelous job on all of them. I will miss him. Frank Spenko”
