She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Simpson and Lulu Simpson (Deverick); her siblings, James Simpson, Jack Simpson, Ed Simpson and Rose Walters; her siblings-in-law, Iline Simpson, Charles Walters and Archie Gowin; and her great grandchildren, Jacqueline Ames and Colton James Giberson.
She is survived by: her stepchildren, Peggy Jo Davis (Terry) of Charleston, IL, Robert Dean "Bob" Lovell (Melinda) of Martinsville, IL, Mark Eugene Lovell (Marian) of Sullivan, IL and Phillip Duane Lovell (Shelley) of Portland, TN; and her sisters, Judy Gowin of Casey, IL and Kathie Hicks (Lewis) of Casey, IL. She is also survived by several step grandchildren; several great grandchildren; a great great grandson.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 15th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Markwell Funeral Home (200 N Central Ave, Casey, IL 62420). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, May 15th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial donations may be made to Macedonia Baptist Church, 1075 Co. Rd. 2400 E., Casey, IL.
