It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Buffy Morales of Caseyville, Illinois, born in Belleville, Illinois, who passed away on December 9, 2020, at the age of 46, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her grandparents, Andrew, Anna Zajac, Joseph Bruske and Julia Oakes; and her parents-in-law, Frank and Geraldine Morales.

She is survived by : her husband David Morales; her daughter Danielle Morales; her parents, Mark and Mary; her brothers, Mark Zajac (Becky) and Ryan Zajac; and her siblings-in-law, Anthony Morales (Diane), Steven Morales (Karin), Susie Morales and Linda Ochoa. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the Morales family for the benefit of Danielle Morales and will be accepted at the funeral home.

“My sincerest condolences to the Zajac and Morales family. Buffy and I were co-workers and friends from our time stationed together at Ellsworth Air Force Base in South Dakota. As a co-worker, she was as sharp as they came. She was always on top of things and was fantastic at the many programs she managed. As a friend, we had many good times together along with our group of friends that we would hang with. Buffy was a character. She had a sense of humor, loved to party, loved Busch Light and Garth Brooks. She also had a peaceful side to her. She enjoyed her quiet time and would read the occasional book from time to time. Buffy loved soccer and we even coached a youth soccer team together. She was just so bubbly and full of life. She had a soft side and was always thinking of others. Unfortunately, I lost touch with her after she left Ellsworth Air Force Base. Every once in a while, I would think of her and it would make me smile. I had always hoped that life was treating her kind. I'm both sad and a little angry. Sad that the world has lost such a great person. Angry that I didn't do a better job keeping in touch. Buffy, may you rest in paradise. Walk silently by those you love and keep watch for now you are truly an angel. ~Frank Shade Jr.”
