With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Fay Sumner of Caseyville, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 7, 2026 at the age of 88. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Fay Sumner to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Alex Stout and Clara Stout (Cadle); her husband Charles Sumner; her daughter Lorraine Coke; and her siblings, Jewell Hornbeck, Alta Mae McCoy, Pearl Hawks and Jute Stout.
She is survived by: her children, Tommy Gabriel, Mark Gabriel, Chris Mezel (Brian), Fay Blakey, Bruce "Alan" Gabriel, May Bateman (Lyman T.), Charles Sumner (Susan) and Tina Frazer (Richard); and her sisters, Bonnie Hornbeck and Alice Luna. She is also survived by grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
