He was predeceased by: his parents, James C. Nix and Marie Nix; and his sister Janet Dunlap. He is survived by: his fiancée Debbie Tallis; his children, Tracey Whitten (Rob), Tina Russell (Clyde), James "Jimmy" Nix, Jr., Jaime Smith and Cory Nix; and his siblings, Vicki Thomas, Dennis Nix (Beth) and Wanda Thein. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Memorials may be made to the Nix Family or the Caseyville Public Library.
