It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jerry Compton of Caseyville, Illinois, born in Gideon, Missouri, who passed away on November 17, 2025, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur and Emma; and his sister Barbara Carkuff. He is survived by: his wife Margaret A. "Peggy"; his children, Brian Compton of Caseyville, IL, Ann Medeck (Jake) of Webster Groves, MO and Gary Beans (Teresa) of Millington, IN; his grandchildren, Olivia Medeck, Brody Medeck, Stephanie Woods (Jarod) and Kristen Smythe (Blake); his sister-in-law Linda Launhardt (Marv) of Collinsville, IL; and his friend Gary Lane of Caseyville, IL.. He is also survived by 7 great grandchildren.
