She was predeceased by : her parents, Raymond Soper and Audrey Soper (Burkett); her husband William Edward Cowie; her grandson Christopher Shane Cowie; and her sisters, Myra Ann Soper and Janice Womack.

She is survived by : her daughter Ember Crow of Front Royal, Virginia; her stepsons, Chris Cowie of Centralia and Tracy Cowie of Georgia; her granddaughter Gwendolen Waggener (Noah); her great grandchild Olivet; her siblings, Gary Soper (Lisa), Randy Soper (Casey), Brenda Hays (Larry), Sandra Henson (Jim) and Gloria Finney (Dave); and her brother-in-law Paul Womack. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
