With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Bud Brinkmeyer Jr. of Centralia, Illinois, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Bud left this world on June 21, 2025 at the age of 89, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Brinkmeyer and Rena Brinkmeyer (Clawson); his brother Denny Brinkmeyer; his stepson Rod Sanner; and his brother-in-law Don Swartzlander.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Heinrich; his children, Cory Brinkmeyer of Osage Beach, MO, Annette Kendall (Royce) of Mt. Vernon, IL, Michelle Dalton (Tom) of Heyworth, IL and Valerie Brinkmeyer (Tony Grubb) of Centralia, IL; his stepchildren, Alan Sanner (Pat) of Centralia, IL, Debbie Jansen (Mike) of Germantown, IL and Rene Dooley of Springfield, MO; his sister Phyllis Swartzlander of Bryan, TX; and his stepdaughter-in-law Tammy Sanner of Palm Coast, FL. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the Macz Funeral Home - Centralia (234 S Elm St, Centralia, IL 62801). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 at the Hillcrest Cemetery (2500 Old 51 Rd, Centralia, IL 62801).
Memorials may be made in Bud's honor to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
