Clarence Meier Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Clarence Meier of Centralia, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 15, 2025 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto C. Meier and Myrtle Meier (Thouvenin); his wife Opal Lorene Moore; his siblings, Charles Meier (Mary), Ralph Meier (Frankie), Leon Thouvenin (Mary) and Ruth Meier; and his brother-in-law Gene Hill.

He is survived by: his son Dale R. Meier of Carlyle; his grandchildren, Jessica Meier Hanks (Chris) of St. Charles, MO, Jan Meier of Centralia, Jamie Meier (Junior Thomas) and Jared Meier (Becky) of Highland; his great grandchildren, Abbigail Jansen, Meadow Jansen, Alec Cross, Amiyah Thomas, Ezrah Thomas, Delylah Thomas, Olivia Meier and Ronan Meier; his brothers, Edward Meier (Katie) of Hoffman, Earl Meier (Carolyn) of Hillsboro and David Meier of Hoffman; his siblings-in-law, Roger Moore (Deana) of Florida and Linda Hill; and his pet Missy. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and many cousins.

In lieu of flowers, Clarence's family requests that memorial donations be made to Centralia Humane Society.
