It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Cleatis L. Welch of Centralia, Illinois, born in Bible Grove, Illinois, who passed away at the age of 96, on April 5, 2024. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Frank Specht and Bertha Specht (Roberts); her former life partner Robert Jessup; her husband Harold Welch; her grandson Shawn Sause; and her sisters, Louise VanDyke and Maylene Specht.

She is survived by : her children, Connie Sause of Centralia, Patsy Spilios (George) of Rockledge, Scott Jessup of Centralia, Joe Jessup (Pam) of Centralia and John Jessup of Centralia. She is also survived by four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 10th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home (235 N Sycamore St, Centralia, IL 62801). A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, April 10th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Centralia Humane Society and will be accepted at the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home at 235 North Sycamore Street Centralia, Illinois 62801, (618) 532-3523, who is honored to be of service to Cleatis's Family.
