She was predeceased by: her parents, John H. Copple and Daphne Maxine Copple; her husband Robert "Pete" Nelms; and her brother John E. Copple. She is survived by: her siblings, Nancy Russell (Don) of Nashville, Billy Joe Copple (Pat) of Effingham, Tom Copple (Sherry) of Walnut Hill and Steve Copple (Sharlet) of Walnut Hill; her close friend David Stewart; and her siblings' children, Terri Mearns (Clark), Mona Parkinson (Tony), Pat Bronson (Gary), Sandy Steckel (Larry), Michelle Wazlawek (Mike), Scott Copple (Carrie), Jay Copple (Leslee), Stacey Fults (Dave), John Copple (Ashley), Sara Smith (AJ) and Chad Copple. She is also survived by 20 great-nieces and great-nephews; and 10 great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
During the pandemic, she made face masks by the dozens for people.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Jane's honor to Forever Bronze Hand Bell Ensemble or to the Donor's Choice.
