With sadness, we share the passing of Kent Van Cleve of Centralia, Illinois. Kent, born on May 25, 1965, passed away on October 8, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Family, friends, and acquaintances remember Kent for his warmth, thoughtfulness, and the moments shared together. While he will be deeply missed, the influence he had on the lives around him remains. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles C. Cleve and Sandra Van Cleve (Cutshall). He is survived by: his siblings, Gib Van Cleve (Cherie) of St. Louis and Rosie Finley (Gary) of Indianapolis; and his nieces and nephews, Britton Finley (Hillarie) of Indianapolis, Ian Finley of California, Charles N. Van Cleve (Julie) of Nashville and Allison Van Cleve of St. Louis, Missouri. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, October 15th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home (235 N Sycamore St, Centralia, IL 62801). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location.
In memory of Kent, memorial donations may be made to the Centralia High School Athletic Fund and will be accepted by the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home at 235 North Sycamore Street in Centralia, IL 62801 (618) 532-3523, who is honored to be of service to the Van Cleve Family.
