With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Leonard Hart of Centralia, Illinois, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorothy M. Werner (Arning) and James C. Hart; his wife Ruth Hart; and his sisters, Judy Parkinson and Julie Rice.
He is survived by: his children, Leonard Hart, Jr. (Deanna) of Virginia and Carla Vandeventer (Curt) of Centralia; his siblings, Melvin Hart of Mt. Vernon, Carol Shook of Florida and Hazel Reed (Charlie) of Florida; his grandchildren, Elizabeth Keeter (Wesley) of Virginia, Josh Vandeventer (Hannah) of Hoffman and Brandy Vandeventer (Tyler Dunhan) of Springfield; and his great grandchildren, Jaxon Dunhan, Amelia Keeter and Benson Lee Vandeventer.
In honor of Leonard's deep affection for animals, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Centralia Humane Society and will be accepted by the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home at 235 North Sycamore Street in Centralia, IL 62801 (618) 532-3523, who is honored to be of service to the Hart family.
