He was predeceased by: his parents, J. C. Wells and Elizabeth Wells (Fultz); his wife Melva Wells (Wheeler); his children, Trinetta Beasley (Wells) and Justin Wells; his grandson Kyle Kleeman; and his siblings, Rebecca Chance (Wells) and Carroll Wells.
He is survived by: his children, Stacy Kleeman (Brad), Christie Paddock (Tim) and Amanda Novak (Daniel); his grandchildren, Brittany Ragland (Beasley), Jessica Hull (Wells), Vanessa White (Wells), Ryan Kleeman, Reid Kleeman, Travis Carter, Candace Wittenberg (Carter), Natalie Novak, Allison Novak and Rebecca Novak; and his brother John Wells (Linda). He is also survived by several nephews and nieces.
In honor of his love for the innocence of children, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Pregnancy Care Center and the Illinois Baptist Children's Home, they will be accepted at the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home, located at 235 North Sycamore Street Centralia, Illinois 62801.
