It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Linda Nesmith (Centralia, Illinois), who passed away on September 5, 2025, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Linda Nesmith to pay them a last tribute.
Though Linda may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Linda touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Everett Mays and Susan Mabel Mays (Jenkins); and her brother Eddie Mays. She is survived by: her granddaughter Lily.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 10th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home (235 N Sycamore St, Centralia, IL 62801). A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, September 10th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 4:30 PM at the same location.
