He was predeceased by: his parents, Tosko Myers and Annis Downey (Edwards); his former wife Doris Downey; his children, Jamia Monteiro and Joseph Giboney; his siblings, Nancy Campbell, LaVern Curry, Lionel Downey, Charles Downey and Corneilius Downey; his uncle George Adams; and his grandmother Lizzy Hinchey.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Disroe Kamara; his children, Carol Young (Richard) of Corona, CA, Jill Williams (Guy) of Centralia, IL, Teresa White of Atlanta, Felix Giboney of Memphis, TN, Keith Giboney (Jacqueline) of Memphis, TN, Kyle Petties (Kelli) of Fountain, CO and Ericka Chenevert (James) of Fountain, CO; his sister Lauana Simmons of Alton; and his sister-in-law LaDonna of Killeen, TX. He is also survived by grandchildren; 19 cherished great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in Otis' honor to St. Jude Children's Hospital and will be accepted for his family at the Irvin Macz Funeral Home in Centralia.
