He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles DeBernardi and Bernice DeBernardi (Poli); his granddaughter Mandi DeBernardi Hardy; his parents-in-law, Anthony "Pinky" and Pearl Darin; and his in-laws, Danny Darin (Mary) and Catherine Darin.
He is survived by: his wife Antoinette "Toni" Darin; his grandchildren, Quinn DeBernardi, Mia Ramsour (Zeke), Brian Simpson (Lauren) and Lori Basola (Keith); his great grandchildren, Ameila Pracht, Spencer Wright, Sophie Simpson, Blake Simpson, Hallie Basola and Hunter Basola (Kayli); his great great grandchildren, Trinitey and Maverick; his nephew David Darin; and his close friend Danny Mays of Centralia.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 3rd 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church (424 E Broadway, Centralia, IL 62801). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, November 3rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mary Church (424 E Broadway, Centralia, IL 62801). A Mass will be held on Tuesday, November 3rd 2026 at 12:00 PM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church (424 E Broadway, Centralia, IL 62801).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Mary School and will be accepted at Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home, located at 235 North Sycamore Street, Centralia, Illinois 62801, (618) 532-3523, who is honored to serve Bob's family.
