She was predeceased by : her parents, John Gaffney and Margarite Irene Gaffney (Grimm); her husband Courtice F. Bowman; and her sisters, Geraldine Lukasavage, Emma Putt and Mary Smith.
She is survived by : her former life partner John D. Jackson; her children, Stella A. Langreder (Scott) of Collinsville, V. Gail Wiggs (Jim) of Dix, Linda S. Hagen of Dix, Denise Losco (Dan) of Wilmington, Delaware and Courtice F. Bowman, Jr. (Chonticha) of Sullivan, Illinois; her sister Virginia A. Wilt (James) of Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania; and her stepchildren, John A., Steve Jackson (MaryAnn) of Centralia, Greg Jackson (Gayla) of Centralia, Illinois and Kathy Bradford (Jason) of Mount Vernon, Illinois.. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; one great-grandchild soon to arrive; five great great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Rose's honor to Eternity Baptist Church or Carpenters for Christ Tool Fund through Eternity Baptist Church in Centralia, Illinois, and may be received by the Moran Queen-Boggs Funeral Home at 134 South Elm Street in Centralia, Illinois 62801.
