Stanley J. Pokojski Obituary
We are sad to announce that on May 16, 2025, at the age of 92, Stanley J. Pokojski (Centralia, Illinois) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Stanley may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Stanley touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley J. Pokojski and Dorothy Pokojski (Verble); and his son Gregory James Pokojski. He is survived by: his wife Doris Phillips; his children, Matthew Pokojski (Beth) and Christa Pokojski; and his grandson Tyler Pokojski (Madeline) of Fairfield.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Central City Baptist Church in Stanley's memory and will be accepted at the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home located at 235 North Sycamore Street Centralia, Illinois 62801, (618) 532-3523, who is honored to be of service to Stanley's Family.
