William Lindenberg Obituary

With sadness, we share the passing of William Lindenberg of Centralia, Illinois. William, born on October 27, 1933, passed away on September 25, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Fern Lindenberg (Halbert) and Elmer Lindenberg. He is survived by: his wife Jean Lindenberg; his sons, Michael Lindenberg of Rhode Island, Mark Lindenberg (Mary) of Rhode Island and Matthew Lindenberg (Robin) of South Carolina; his grandchildren, Christina Lindenberg, Jennifer Posner, Jason Lindenberg, Meredith Lindenberg, Marissa Lindenberg, Matthew Lindenberg, Peyton Lindenberg, Alec Lindenberg and Kennedy Lindenberg; his great grandchildren, Mason, Ethan, Owen, Pierson, Christian and Carter; and his friends, Brian and Marilyn Britton.

Memorials may be made in Dr. Lindenberg's honor to the First United Methodist Church of Centralia or St. Jude Children's Hospital and will be accepted for his family at the Irvin Macz Funeral Home in Centralia.
