He is survived by: his children, Charity Carter (Gavin) of Cerro Gordo, Sarah Henley (Andrew) of Jasper, TN and Luke Carter (Misty Campbell) of Johnson City, TN; his grandchildren, Cameron Henley, Ryleigh Carter and Isaac Henley; his siblings, Allen Carter (Vicki) of Monticello and Carolyn Stoddard (Bruce) of Monticello; and the mother of his children Kathy Black (Randy).
