He was predeceased by: his wife Donna Leonard; his children, Tom Leonard, Paul Leonard and Patti Foster; his father David Leonard; and his siblings, Marilyn Martin and Paul Leonard.
He is survived by: his children, Denise Dittell (Steve Coffman) of Apache Junction, AZ, Mike Leonard (Angela) of Rantoul, IL and Steve Leonard of Rantoul, IL.; his stepchildren, Debra Nauman of Darien, IL, Tami Engel (Jim) of Champaign, IL, Lori "Cooky" McLeod (Mike) of Knoxville, TN, Mary Gerdts (Douglas McKinney) of Paradise Valley, AZ and John Gerdts (Julie) of Sapphire, NC.; his mother Ernestine Leonard; and his siblings, Charlie Leonard (Joyce) of Westerville, OH, Jennie Scrivner (Danny) of Eldon, MO, Barbara Bauer of Dayton, OH, Wilma Forsha of Dayton, OH and Terry Leonard (Arleeta) of Dresden, OH.. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, 9 step-grandchildren and 3 great step-grandchildren.
David was a member of Holy Cross Church for many years, and the family extends a heartfelt thank you in advance for any donations made to Holy Cross in David's memory.
