He was predeceased by: his parents, Lambert Powell and Irene Powell; his brothers, Bernard Powell and Leo Powell; and his grandchildren, Benjamin and Bridget Downs.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Powell (Fogarty); his children, Bridget Powell, Kara Downs and Brendan Powell (Annmarie); and his grandchildren, Oscar (Becca), Samuel, Mary Helen, Ella Jane Powell, Jack and Charlie Downs.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Twin City Bible Church (806 W Michigan Ave, Urbana, IL 61801).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Salt & Light, Carle Hospice, or Twin City Bible Church.
