Don McKay Obituary

We bid farewell to Don McKay of Champaign, Illinois, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on November 17, 2025 at the age of 76. Don touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward McKay and Mary McKay; his brother Bill; and his wife Linda Connett. He is survived by: his children, Catherine Stickels (Eric) of Champaign, Brian McKay (Courtney Ballard) of Champaign and Allison Poindexter (Blake) of Aledo, Texas; his grandchildren, Rachel Stickels, Jack Stickels, Hannah Stickels, Davis McKay, Grant McKay, Claire Poindexter and Kyle Poindexter; and his brother Dick McKay of Edmond, Okla.. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to First Presbyterian Church of Champaign, where he was a decades long member and volunteer.
